Why "The River"
The name came to me and Kiran — a friend and facilitator in this field — when we first began offering it. The image of a river held exactly what we were seeing happen in the room: water doesn't stop when something blocks it — it moves under, over, around. It can be held back for a while, but it never stops looking for a way to keep flowing.
That's what entanglement looks like too. Something gets stuck — a loyalty, a debt, a silence — and the family system keeps pressing against it, looking for a way through. The work isn't to force the water. It's to see what's blocking it, and then find creative ways to help it find its own way again.
